Residential Help
You might be reluctant to go to conventional drug and alcohol treatment for a whole variety of reasons: you may have concerns about insurance companies or other organizations, like employers or the public becoming aware of your “treatment,” or you may not be willing to accept the notion of being diseased or being helpless; maybe you do not accept that your family members are “sick too,” or maybe you just do not accept the idea that a counselor is better able to make decisions for your life, than you are. If any of these are your concerns—good for you! You are already way ahead of most people in your situation.
We understand your reluctance. Our Residential option, the St. Jude Retreats® rejects the misleading disease theory. St. Jude Retreats® exists for those who desired a non-12 step, non-disease based residential model. St. Jude Retreats® assures absolute privacy; in fact you can attend St. Jude Retreats® under an assumed name, if you wish. The Saint Jude Programs® are based on self-empowerment and self-improvement, without placing blame on family members and those that are close to you. The Saint Jude Programs® puts the power of changing your life in the hands of the only person capable of making changes: you.
The point is this; that each option’s foundation is based on decades of research and helping people through their life struggles and depression. And, we know that no two people are the same. CRITICAL ACLAIM
There is No Cure: Because You Are Not Diseased!
Some programs advertise a cure for addictions while still desperately trying to sound as if they are not a disease based program. If programs use terms such as dependency, addiction or even tout a cure for drug and alcohol problems, the organization is by definition, based on a disease model. If you are fed up with the same old, “you need to accept your powerlessness,” or ideas such as; you have a disease or you have a dependency, then you have come to the right place. If you want to be able to find solutions for your troubles, but you do not want to publicize it by going to a rehab, we have an answer for you.
